Demonstrations and Simulated Fires Prove a Hit at Kirkcudbright’s Emergency Services Day

Demonstrations and simulated fires proved a hit for Kirkcudbright’s emergency services day.

Representatives from organisations ranging from the police and fire service to Galloway Mountain Rescue all took part in the day, held in Harbour Square.

Organiser Mike Merry said: “It was a very successful day – the weather was fine and everything went down well. Galloway Mountain Rescue did a demonstration on casualty recovery and the fire brigade did a simulated ship fire on Mytilus, one of the boats in the harbour.
